In this video, we visit a dancer’s battle with cancer. This is Smisha Arun, a dancer, choreographer, and theatre artist diagnosed with cancer at 33. Like anybody else, she, too, was initially terrified with the diagnosis. However, she decided to fight the disease and live life on her own terms. Despite the tremendous pain the disease caused, along with the bouts of depression, social and financial issues, she never gave in. Her grit and determination to defeat the disease have helped her to be a cancer survivor.
She is indeed a woman of substance, and her advice to us is to stay positive and discover all our possibilities even in adverse situations. On this occasion of National Cancer Awareness Day, NatyaSutra is proud to partner with an artist of such incredible grit and perseverance.
